HLTV.org have won Virtus.pro Staff Cup #1 after a 2-0 (16-7 de_cache, 16-13 de_mirage) victory over NiP staff in the grand final.

After the group stage was finished last weekend, the top twelve teams advanced to the playoffs, with the third place finisher in each group being placed directly in the lower bracket.

HLTV.org finished undefeated in the group stage, and made their way to the grand final with wins over E-Frag.net, GoodGame.ru, and NiP's staff, featuring Faruk "⁠pita⁠" Pita.

Striker helped HLTV.org win the Virtus.pro Staff Cup 

Despite coming from the upper bracket, HLTV.org had no advantage in the grand final, which was played in a standard best-of-three setting, after NiP knocked out Na`Vi in the consolidation final.
